Dr. Felicity Sapp PhD. - Registered Clinical Psychologist
No Longer Accepting New Clients (June 2021 - present):
We are sorry to say that due to an overwhelming demand for our psychological services, we are unable to accept new clients. This decision was not made lightly as OAPS is committed to providing high quality, evidence-based treatment to individuals suffering from anxiety and OCD. Since the onset of COVID-19, the demand for psychological services has significantly increased and to continue to meet our high standards of quality care for our current clients, we are unable to accept new referrals.
We are actively trying to hire more psychologists to meet demand for services.
We will continue to monitor any changes in our ability to accept new clients and update the website if our status changes. If you are a past client of OAPS and in need of services, you may contact us and we will try to accommodate you.
For those of you seeking help, other private practices can be found by visiting the Psychological Association of Alberta (https://psychologistsassociation.ab.ca/referrals/) or CACBT (https://cacbt.ca/en/certification/find-a-certified-therapist/). For OCD concerns, you can visit the IOCDF or the Alberta OCD Foundation and search for a provider. For child OCD providers, you can visit the Tourette OCD Alberta Network website (https://cumming.ucalgary.ca/resource/tourette-ocd/directory-health-professionals). Free online help for anxiety can be found by visiting AnxietyCanada and the free MindShift CBT App can be downloaded.
To meet the increased demand for our psychological services, we are actively hiring a part time Associate.
We are currently looking for a PhD-level Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). Psychologists registered/licensed at the Masters degree level will be considered in some cases. Start time/date is negotiable (either immediate or into 2022)
If you are interested please send your CV and cover letter to email@example.com
Check out this video of one family's OCD journey. I am proud to have been part of this young man's path in taking back his life against OCD. He wanted to share his story "if it will help others get help" and realize that OCD is treatable.
